Well of course there should be no smoking allowed in parks! Why should we have smoke around children?
I am definitely in favor of banning tobacco in parks. We don’t need the harmful effects of another person’s terrible habit.

Smoking in public is like pooping in the punchbowl. It’s bad enough if you do it, but you better not be doing it anywhere near where it affects me.

There is no safe level of exposure to secondhand smoke. Eliminating tobacco use in parks is a step in the right direction for public health. Tobacco-free policies in parks and playgrounds provide healthy spaces for recreation for children and adults. They also enhance the parks by reducing tobacco litter which is harmful to the environment.

All of us would like to be able to enjoy the parks and the programs held at parks such as concerts and games, but this small group of individuals who choose to smoke make it so that people with health issues (COPD, allergies, asthma, pregnancy, and many more) cannot participate.
Please leave the parks smoke-free for all of us to enjoy. Thank you.
